Very lost on emulation

Hey all, I have a problem, and I was hoping you could help with some answers.

I saved up some money, only to find I have no idea what I want to buy.
Suddenly, I had an idea that I wanted somewhat of an all-in-one for media.
After researching the GP2X and PSP and many others, I was left unimpressed and exhausted.
What im looking for (I guess I can put them in order of importance) is a system that can do quite a bit, and do it close to fullspeed + sound.

1. Play Stereo MP3s
2. Play SNES roms
3. Play NES roms
4. Play GBA roms
5. Play NDS roms
6. Other Misc emulators
7. Movies

I found that the GP2X cant do much emulators I want up to speed. And the PSP is a bit pricey, and you need to mod it to keep your homebrew.

Many people have pointed me to the DS, saying it could do most of what I want fullspeed + sound, etc.

I dont need links to programs or anything (looks like i can find most stuff on this site)

My 2 big questions before I buy are;
Can it really do all these up to par? (or most)
Is there a way to do it all through SD so I dont have to switch out often? Thank you so much!

You get pretty good playback with moonshell, I'm not sure if I would call it stereo though

2. Play SNES roms
Alot isn't working 100% put speed isn't a problem and it has sound heres a compatibility list

Haven't tried it yet put I don't think it will be a problem.

4. Play GBA roms
Shouldn't have problem depends on flash cart

5. Play NDS roms
Shouldn't have problem depends on flash cart

6 Other emus

Haven't tried much but can emulate up to 16 bit era

7 Movies

You can try moonshell but you'll have to set the fps lower and mess around with tell your vidoes don't skip

Here these settings worked pretty good for me



This all worked on supercard sd for me but the gba roms can get solwdowns, it's really annoying. And you could also try swiching the video width on the full screen to 240 but you may get skipping depending on the video.

Thank you so much for you help! I think I will indeed get a DS now! I guess my last question would be, is there a adaptor of some sort that I could put all my roms and emulators on an sd and run it off that? Or do I need to get the GBA cartridges? I know you can run them off blank GBA cartridges easy, but If it was SD, I could use it in other devices. Thanks for you help again!

I bought the first one on the list but after I read about the second one I wished I would have got that instead. I'm not sure you can play comerical ds games on three and four on the list, or even gba roms.

Edit: I left this out http://www.dsupdate.net/2005/08/play-yan-micro.html it's the official one made by nintendo. It's suppose to have better video and audio play back and surports MPEG-4, ASF, and MP4 video, I don't think it can run roms thought.
