The Russians have sceners group succeeded in changing the original bios of a dev-box so you can use emulators and real Dreamcast consoles. The following video shows the clear difference to boot the new bios.
Awesome! Will this commercially be available? If so how much for the chip?

what do you mean by "hacked to run emulators"?
Well, it's awesome that they're running a dev bios on a retail DC.
I don't think we'll be seeing the Dreamcast run emulators for awhile, though. :P
Nice but I think I've seen it released before.I'm a bit scared to try it,don't want to flash my dreamcast bios with something that might not work and in the end non usable.
This was done a long time ago by members at the assemblergames forums.
If the translation were accurate at 'to run emulators' it would mean they had actually added the milCD code to the dev box bios which would be great (the dev boxes do not read milCDs, but unlike retail units can also read GD-Rs).
If anyone is looking to buy, sell, trade games and support a developer directly at the same time, consider joining Goozex. Enjoy!
Awesome!!
It's nice to see the devbox startup sequence for real on a retail DC, but (as quzar pointed out) it was done .
I cheated a few years ago and used Ginsu along with Playvid to boot an SFD of the devbox startup sequence prior to game launch, simple but effective.
