Default Is there a way to boot ofw for one session?

    Hello folks

I have a psp slim, and I just got the new mgs peace walker demo (the one that came out on Nov 1, not the TGS one). I have the latest GEN-D2 CFW installed, and the demo refuses to run. (gives me a message with Error number 80020148). The previous demo runs just fine.

My question is: is there a way for me to boot the psp with the official 6.10 FW just for one session? as in, I boot with 6.10, play the demo, then when I shut the psp down and turn it back on, it is back on 5.50 GEN-D2? I heard that there was a way, but maybe I was wrong. Since I can't seem to find such method anywhere, I thought I should post here to see if anyone can help.

Alternatively, if anyone got the demo to run on GEN-D2, can you please tell me what you did to get it running?

    Thanks in advance

    i also had this problem
and the story is the same for any newer demo
(such as lunar silver star harmony)
i tried running it on my other PSP on 5.00m33, but it said i needed 6.20

The Lunar demo does run on 550GEN-D2.
It takes significant meddling first, however.

It's just a matter of using a few easily available tools, but there's lots of tedium involved.

    1. Download demo on PS3, then transfer to PSP (MediaGo will probably also work)
    2. Decrypt and convert to ISO using NPD
    3. Open resulting ISO in UMDGen4
    4. Copy EBOOT.BIN from UMDGen to msroot
    5. Run Yoshiro's Game Decrypter v4, using the 'decrypt & patch' option
    6. Drop EBOOT.BIN back into UMDGen
    7. Rebuild ISO in UMDGen
    8. Copy ISO to ms.

Chances are good this method will work with other PSN content needing post-550 firmware.
