I was wondering what you thoughts are on an ETA for the downgrader. I know there are a few teams workin on it so when is it likely to surface??

Not even 2.01-2.6 can be downgraded. I doubt 2.71 will be able to downgrade before 2.01-2.6. Your best bet would be the modchip.
