- Ey, I've never been in the PSP homebrew scene before and figured out what to do after 30 min.
Give me a break -.-
Hi. I haven't posted anything on this forum in quite a long while. I have a psp 1000 at firmware 1.5 and have been searching through the forums for the best way to upgrade and to get all current features w/ homebrew. Please help. Thank you.

With your 1000 psp 1.5?good for you! Please share.
so you got a psp phat with cfw 1.50
i used the hellcat's recovery flasher, chickHEN r2 (alternative mhuspeed) and OFW 5.00 and upgraded to CFW 5.00M33-6. however, my starting point was a semi-bricked phat with 3.52m-33-4 (i think).
read up on those homebrew.
my question would be whether you can go straight upgrade to 5.00M33-6 in one step like i did - using that recovery flasher method.
alternatively, you might want to research on other upgraders/flashers - GEN-X has one, me thinks.
then there is the old method using pandora battery and mms of ugrading cfw from the lower 1.50 to those 3.52+ cfw...
i have been mentioning 5.00m33-6 as that is as far as i went - but to upgrade from there to the latest cfw GEN-D whatever is a simple step.
the best thing when you are researching these topics is to get the most recent articles - because the old articles may describe outdated methods.
have a pandora battery, just in case of emergency.
I upgraded my slim by cutting a trace in my battery's circut board to get into service mode then loaded cfw upgrade eboot. drew pcb trace back in with a pencil and it works like a champ. Surely the phat can be done in similar fashion. Amongst your searches, heres a link you might want to check out
