    Default PSP update fakeout?

Id like to say first that im no hacker in any way, but i looked at the UMD options while going to play my field commander game on PSP and an option to update to 2.60 was up there. of course it told me i had 2.70 and had no reason to update but i was thinking... why not a hack that fakes your PSP to believe that it /needs/ the update?

If we do that then we could just find an older PSP UMD that offers to update to an older version, or atleast a version that has an existing downgrader.

    erm....

that is how the 2.0 downgrader works... please look around and do some research .

we cant access flash(needed to change the number) on above 2.00 if it could be done there would have been a downgrader ages ago...also latest updates leave some sort of trace which makes older firmware incompatible
