Psp wont scan games

My psp is having promblems scanning games like it says its scanning but it wont recongnize the disk please help me

if it wont read the umd disc then there must be a problem with the umd drive in your psp, send it to $ony and hope they dont upgrade it

If you send it to sony they will upgrade it. the other option is to take it apart and clean the lens that sounds to be the problem.

Mine did the same.The disc did not read and motor made funny noises.After hitting the umd+psp a few times i just blew out sum dust from the umd chamber and amazingly it worked again

There was a post about this on qj.net forums. Go search them. Fanjita replied that you may nudge the UMD reader lens with a pencil, and that would help. I suggest that you find that post first before doing that.
