The simple answer is possibly no (if it isn't already multi-region), but you can always use a PS2 or a regular DVD player for the hopes of playing them.

I don't like my chances...
Any chance the new PS3 Slim's DVD playback can be unlocked for all regions? I imported quite a few foreign DVDs and was hoping to play them on my console.

its region lock
.. u can buy a very cheap multi region dvd players somewhere. search online for hacked dvd players. i had one that can be programmed by combining buttons on the remote control for a secret option to select regions to read dvds
