Games dont work with online play

hey guys,
i was just wondering if all the games for the psp that have infracture mode dont work with WPA security? Because My dad wont put anything lower than wpa on our router. and i really want to play socom online!!! Please Help ASAP!!!!!!!!

No, they should all work with any security that the PSP supports.

yea , its just any of my games that have online play, even wipeout pure does when you try to get xon the site to get the gamma packs

Are you using a Netgear router? Because some of those only let you browse the internet, but won't let you play online.

before 2.00 WPA wasnt supported
SO games before this dont support WPA as it wasn't supported by the psp(there was no point at that time)

all 1.0/1.50/1.51/1.52 games dont feature any support that hadnt been invented and integrated with the firmware. if you try and log on to a connection you will see in wipeout that, even if you have a WPA setting, the OS shows the connection as being a WEP

why not just use WEP with mac address ID, though it is a little tiny bit slower
