Rev PRESS RELEASE: snakebyte announces brand-new XL+ Wii accessory series

Less is more: The brand-new XL+ Wii accessory series and their own web shop take off

    Boundless play

The new snakebyte XL+ series turns the classic accessory concept upside down. While the classic accessories are built to complement existing features with hardware additives, snakebyte Europe, famous for qualitative and innovative accessories for consoles, handhelds and PC, now turns the tables. Instead of complementing the Wii Remote with attachments, snakebyte implements the attachment! With other words: Wii Motion Plus is built right into the new Remote XL+. Without any construction, no new silicon cases, just activate the remote and get started. But with the integration of Motion Plus the innovation isn’t at its end: integrated batteries, which can be charged directly via USB, are also included in the “all-around carefree package”. An external Sync-button makes sure that the Wii Remote does not have to be dismantled to be able to sign in.
    • Wireless Remote XL+ Controller for use with Nintendo Wii
    • Enjoy the most intuitive motion sensing gameplay ever
    • MOTION PLUS integrated, no additional purchase required (e.g. for Wii Sports Resort)
    • Use up to 4 units simultaneously for maximum multi-player fun
    • Super sleek and elegant design
    • Integrated speaker for realistic positional audio effects
    • Built-in memory to save settings and avatars
    • Strong vibration effects
    • Rechargeable Ni-MH batteries and USB charging cable included
    • External SYNC button for convenient synchronisation with the console

The Remote XL+ will be available commercially from the 15th January 2010 for a price of 49.99€ (RRP).

We also have a solution for the ones who already have a Wii Remote and just want to upgrade it, true to the motto “less is more”. The Motion XL+ is a wireless Nunchuck. Therefore any cable connection to the Wii remote is dropped. The new freedom is furthermore complemented by the Motion Plus feature which is integrated in the receiver. So whoever is on the search for a wireless Nunchuck, will simply get an additional Motion Plus without having to purchase it additively.
    • Motion XL+ Controller extension for the snakebyte Remote XS Controller or for use with the Wii Remote
    • MOTION PLUS integrated, no additional purchase required (e.g. for Wii Sports Resort)
    • Wireless connection to the main controller (available separately)
    • State-of-the-art 2.4 GHz wireless technology, virtually lag-free
    • No interference: up to four Wireless Motion XL+ Controllers can be used simultaneously in multiplayer matches
    • 100% compatible with all games that support the original Nunchuk
    • External On/Off and synchronisation buttons
    • Two rechargeable Ni-MH batteries as well as USB charging cable included in delivery, the controller can be charged using any USB port

The Motion XL+ will be available commercially from the 15th January 2010 for a price of 29.99€ (RRP).

    The simplicity of charging

To enable a related accessory system, the way of charging the batteries has been newly conceived: The Flux Duo Induction Charger receives entry into the living room with its “wireless charging”. The Wii Remotes are charged via modern induction technology, by basically laying them into the charging pod. The troublesome act of removing the silicon sleeves is therefore dropped, because the Flux Duo charges also with “rubber”. Two induction batteries for snakebyte and Nintendo Wii remotes are already included in the set.
    • Induction Charger for two snakebyte Remotes or Wii Remotes
    • Induction technology allows charging of Remotes with and without silicon sleeve
    • Charging of Wii Remotes possible even with Motion plus hardware equipped
    • Effortlessly lay down the Remote Controller or batteries into the charging cradle
    • High quality 700 MAh NiMH batteries included, charging of batteries possible even without Wii Remote
    • LED charging indication
    • Power supply through the console’s AC adaptor, the console must not be turned on to charge

The Flux Duo Induction Charger will be available commercially from the 15th January 2010 for a price of 29.99€ (RRP).
