and i downgraded my psp, planning to buy a 1gig memory card during the week, did i downgrade for nothing, and do i have to downgrade it again with my new memory card?

no you dont have to downgrade again

It's good that u downgraded. Now you can play iso's. And u can even emulate 2.6 firmware on a 1.5, with DEVhook 4 an up. Then u can switch back and forth from a 1.5 to a 2.6.

Ya he does. It can only switch between 1.5 to 2.5 right now. Since were talking about it, I haven't used it but does it allow you to play 2.5 games on 1.5? And does it work by just installing it in your psp? Or do i need a dump of FW 2.5? Thanx

you need to dump the firmware files of 2.50 and 2,0
there is an extra app in the devhook folder which does it for you i think,
i downloaded the first one on pspupdates, which came with all the folders already installed...naughty...
it works on some 2.60 games as well

if you use isos then i hope your psp blows up in your face and burns out your eyes....

Ya i downloaded it from pspupdates and it appears to all ready installed. Thanx for the info. BTW do you know if Daxter works? It requires 2.6 update. If this work continues there might not be a need for a modchip because we can just emulate newer firmwares. When we trick it to 2.5 we have all the features of 2.5 right?,and play 2.5 games right? Well can we still play homebrew while its in 2.5 ??? or do we have to reset it back to 1.5. And if i change some settings in 2.5 mode will it stay like that when i put 2.5 back on?

Yes, Daxter works.

Yes, you have all the features of 2.50 and can play 2.50 games and iSOs (Up to 2.60). As for homebrew, you have to be in 1.50 to play, so just turn the PSP off then on. And yes, if you change the settings they will stay for 2.50.

do you need a 512mb memory card at least to get devhook working beasue at the moment i have a 32 mb card that came witth the psp.

the 32mb should be fine,

basically you have a dual booting psp with it installed
