unlocking 4.2??( new)

ok so i am new to this unlocking the wii, i am a subscriber to a paid site, and their software didn't appear to be working...come to find out it's not for 4.2u....i have read i could downgrade but need to have homebrew channel...how the heck do i do that? and i am not entirely sure i want to downgrade either....any advice would be greatly appreciated...:thumbup:

do NOT downgrade. it could damage your system. go to wiibrew.org and follow instructions to install the hbc there. you should NEVER pay to mod a wii.
