Hi every1...i was wondering about the whole 2.7 firmware dump because i have the data file and i was wondering if it would work. Is it that you can get the file and you just cant install it or what? Am i the olnly person able to dump the firmware 2.7? because the way you guys were talking about it seems like it was impossible to get it....So i have it.. can i use it and expect the dev install to run it properly?

Dev Hook 0.42 replaced my coldboot with the original psp bootsound and deleted my network connection options - this worries me about using it again - has anyone else experienced anything like this?

This is probably a shot in the dirt, but does Monster Hunter Freedom load using this?
Before I downgrade, I want to make sure I can still play this game.

0.42a seems to be ok - coldboot & connection settings remain

To put it simply......it's like u've never used that firmware before, it doesn't look to the real FW because it can't....it's an emulated FW, so every thing is reset, if u still have the file on ur computer, then just look around for it on ur PSP folder and then replace it. (look around in the "dh" folder in the root of the ms)

I already asked this (do research d@mnit!), and there's a fix in all the updates from 2.6 to 2.71, so don't try it at all. But we r apparently extremely close to being able to use 2.6 with this any ways, so for the time being......don't do it.

ok, i tried installing devhook .42 andI think I did everything correctly, except im not too shure where to put all the folders on the memory card. I put the DH folder in the root of the memory stick and installed the two firmwares with the firmware installer. Then when I try and load it up with Devhook, my psp turns off. How do I get it to work?

hmm... I always seem to get it after asking the question :P. (i used the data.bin from gta in stead of taking data.psar out of the 2.00 update eboot (: )

It works for me
