    Default Please Help With Devhook!!!

    Hi I am a new 1.5 user

I installed Devhook countless times with different installers including the special devhook pack(which was an exe) There is definately nothing I have done wrong in terms of installing it. However, when I select 'start' to emulate 2.5 firmware, devhook crashes my PSP.

Please do not point me to a tutorial as I have tried all of them. I have tried numerous installs including one that actually extracted the files automatically on to the memstick. It seems like there is something wrong with my PSP. I have a JAP 1000 with factory 2.01. I'm wondering if I need to use JAP firmware with devhook?
But I've been told thats not an issue.

Also of note, Ive tried another program which has certain features relating to Devhook and rhymes with cough*fax*cough. This yields the same result.

    PLEASE ANY HELP
PLEASE don't give me tutorials etc.
Anyone else having the same problems please post here as well. I think there are quite a few.

    Thanks

It might be the settings. Make sure you use reboot XMB and firmware: 2.0+2.5.

Yes, I am having the same problem, my PSP is not a Japanese though. I have tried 2.71, and 2.60.

Make sure you have the selected firmware's Eboot-files on the memory stick in the 'dh' folder.
Use these settings in Devhook before starting:
    UMD-ISO: [Run UMD] or [ISO]
    TARGET: (reboot XMB)
    UMD-MODE: ISO ANYUMD
FLASH: ms0:/dh/[Firmware folder] (I use 271 (MS HOOK))
    CLOCK: 222/111
    UMD Ver.: 2.xx -> 2.00

I hope you get it working. It's so cool to emulate firmware 2.71 with all the features.

    format your mem stick
You don't need to know my mental status. You probably don't want to, either.

formatting your memstick is a good idea.you might also want to try different address setting from devhook, the problem could also be the firmware dumps your using. There's also no reason to use 2.5 firmware you should use 2.71.

I'll try what Blackrave said. I tried reformatting my Memory Stick (backing up the stuff I need), then trying to put nothing on but Devhook 0.44, still had the same result.. Hope blackrave's advice works. =\

So far no luck.. Going to try all PL addresses, with the settings that blackrave said.

What i know is there are 2 exe. packes out there for devhook one is the.44 and the .45. The .44 is for 2.60 firmware and the .45 is for 2.71 so depending on witch you have you need to switch the speed from 333 to 222
