hi, i have googled several sites and found out that th ic6001 model can be downgraded, allthough it had 2.5/2.6 preinstalled. is that right?
if you downgraded your psp with this downgrader, will you be able to update it with the normal updater again or will the firmware be wrecked??

    thx

Ran this last night. Went through the whole black screen process, mem card flickered for a few minutes then the screen went black and just stayed there. I left it for 10 - 15 mins like that.
It didn't reset, I didn't get the cannot load message. Now the PSP does nothing when powered on.
I checked everything. It was fully charged, plugged into ac adapter, was a 2.5 firmware updated to 2.6, had all the files in the right place on the memory stick and had a 1.5 dump in the correct place and it didn't work.

Is there anything I can do?

Have you checked if your psp is not A TA082. Search forums to learn how to confirm if your psp is a TA082 motherboard psp. When u open UMD drive look on the upper corner of inside the umd drive just below the IRsensor. If it has a number IC1003 , dude your psp is BRICKED. And it means its dead so u got to install new motherboard costing 100$ approx!!

So just pray it aint TA082 and open ur UMD if you already have not done so

PunkPie> Golden Rule #1- Check that you ain't trying to downgrade a TA-082. Sucks if you have bricked. But it ain't like the warnings are hidden.
I just downgraded another PSP using this. That's like 6 or 7 now.
