Easy downgrader 2.50/2.60

I have the same problem as Cavern, (need to upgrade from 2.01 before downgrading) I know that you can get the 2.5 or 2.6 firmware from a few different sites, but they are all US firmware and I have an EUR psp. Also the files that are dumpped from 1.5 firmware, do they also need to be dumpped from an EUR version of the 1.5 firmware or will the dumpped files from the US 1.5 found on psps hacks be ok?

i used the US update on my mates euro psp yesterday and it upgraded and downgraded with no problems with the package from www.psp-hacks.com

I wanted to do this since I heard about it, but was too scared to. Also I didn't have anybodies v1.5 dump.

Using the Full easy version was cool, as I also did not want to put the files in the wrong place and brick.

BIG thanks must also go out to Dark AleX and yes that is how he spells it.

Looking forward to all the possibilities with homebrew

This is freaking awesome... look at my hand, its shaking!!!... just got back from holiday and then i went to see what ive been missing... Couldn't beleave my eyes when i saw that there had come a downgrader for 2.5/2.6. But here I am, just finished downgrading and it worked 100%

but i cant upgrade.. i have tried this file before and nothing happens. it still says that i have 2.01

download this 2.6 update

put the EBOOT.pbp in a folder called UPDATE then put the UPDATE folder in the GAME folder on your memory stick. Then go to game on your psp and run the update.

Hi all!

Now I´m a bit pissed off. I ran the easydowngrader for my 2.50 unit using the 1.5 dump from http://www.teamxl.biz. Everything seemed to work just fine but after reboot, I´m on 2.71?!?!

I guess the 1.5 dump was in fact a 2.71?

The problem also is that it´s not an "original 2.71" but some kind of hacked version where even my original GTA doesn´t work.

When it starts up there´s the futurama bot bender sayin "Bite my shiny metal ass" and then instead of the sony intro it´s some kind of pentagram style logo and a dark man showing up. The same logo appears when I try to start a game and then I get the error "The game could not be started FFFFFED3"

I could accept if running the downgrade would render the system corrupt but having this $#@! makes me crazy.

Anybody have any idea what this is and if it´s possible to reapply an official 2.71 image?
