if a 2.71 custom firmware that lets run homebrew with no security at all is released the modchip sells will drop like a mountain
1.5 everything works on it

yes, but some people have 2.7+ and unless that is cracked or able to be downgraded the modchip is still applicable and useful. Especially when it costs less than a new PSP.Originally Posted by borgamix123
Besides, a 2.6 and below user mostly wouldn't want to buy a mod chip if they can downgrade to 1.5 already...
im 1.5 forever, just too many good memories to change
For the time being, I'm staying a 1.50.
However, when (or if) DevHook is compatible with 1.00, I'm downgrading.
i dont think devhook and X-Flash and other apps will be a problem that are only coded for 1.5, all they would have to do is point the directories to where they are stored in 1.0 and maybe work out some other kinks in the processOriginally Posted by linkboy
plus, devhook is partially compatible to 1.0 right now anyways(hints the options that say "1.5 only")
I'm staying a 1.50 for now, but I'll definitely downgrade once things start working for 1.0; the possibility of a custom firmware is really interesting (I'd really like a layout similar to the Ir shell) and I'm sure homebrew (speed-wise)will go like the wind.
I'll have to wait and see.
This whole 1.5 to 1.0 downgrade reminds me of how a fake downgrader was released a while back. I'll stay at 1.5 until all the good homebrew works on 1.0.
we could like keep devhook on the whole time and play hombrew that be sweet
I would personally downgrade to 1.00 because it has no security on it.
