Why sould downgrade if all ok ?

Hello all,

I just wanna say why I've that people in 2.5/2.6 are fool if they don't downgrade to 1.5 ?

I've bought my lovely psp in 2.5 FW few mouths agos, just have GTA LCS. I have installed eloader and I can play neo geo, snes... the only homebrew who don't work for me were amiga and atari. I wish to put mame emultor when it will be finished.

I just buy DBZ budokai and he said that I have to upgrade to 2.6 to play, I have done and my eloader is ok

So why have 1.5 if my game can't run on it ? why have 1.5 if hombrews works with eloader if I take EBOOTs for 1.0 ?

All homebrew works on 1.5, including loaders. I think DBZ works on 1.5 using Dev Hook.

I have read some things for devhook, is that an OS for psp ?

no it jus emulates higher firmwares so your psp thinks its a 2.6

actually it makes it think its a 2.5 but it also makes your 2.6 games think their 2.5

doesn't flashmod emulate the 2.6 fw? If it did, why would we ever need devhook?

1.5 > 2.6. by a lot! it runs way more stuff and you can launch stuff straight from XMB. and people on 1.5 can run the newest versions of some emulators while 2.6 can't. also 1.5 is great for customizing and development. so yeah, downgrade.
