    - Converts the old analog signal to the new High Definition standard digital signal (HDMI)

    - Supports two input signals, YPbPr (YCbCr) and VGA (RGBHV)

    I wanna know if it stretches 480i/480p to full screen. If yes, then this is a must have for my PS2.

    What is the point in using these? As far as i can see they don't upscale or cleanup picture and it is still an analog input, so save $70 and just plug the component cable directly into tv and use tv settings to select ratio and zoom.

    That's what I do, because the older games cannot display a true higher quality (upscaled) picture.
