Thanks for all the stuff guys

So far unfortunately the softmodding hasn't been working. I tried using an adapter to connect the USB drive to the XBox and I formatted it to XBox format. Then I tried using a hacked Action Replay program to copy the softmod program to the card, but it can't see the card. it also can't see the softmod for some reason. Does anyone have any experience in this? Thanks in advance.

I actually used my psp and a linux computer to softmod mine,I also had a little trouble getting the pc to recognize the card until I used the cat command.It's been awhile may have to go back and read up on it

I did some more stuff, and I have successfully softmodded my XBox. Now I'm off to test some homebrew

so for this you dont need a modchip for your x-box right?

That's correct, no mod chip. It required a bit of reading up on, but it was worth it.
