I picked up on Craigslist the 2nd version of the "Compact Flash Game Boy Advance Movie Player" for 10 bucks.

Does this thing even work any more, will I be able to download any software for it to use on my GBA at least - and will it work on the DS with my Passcard 3?

As long ass you flash your ds with the right flash card it should work. Now you need the right passcard or passme card in order for it to work. Go to m3 web and check for how to know what version ds you have.
