I think the only way you can fix it is with the Undiluted Platinum modchip
Hi there!
This is my first post and unfortunately is not for good reason.
My psp is probably bricked..
I have 1.50 firmware,
when it starts it freezes and cannot enter the XMB(when I insert a UMD with 1.5 or 1 it starts ok because it doesn't enter the XMB)
The reason is i think this file ''topmenu_plugin.rco'' , its from theme PSP creator Pack
It creates themes...so I had 12 images(BMP) and a font and flashed them with the program and every thing was ok.
The file that I said is responsible for naming the PSP icons(for example PHOTO SETTINGS change to PHOTO SETUP)
And I changed all of them and flashed, but after it was flashed(whole theme) and pressed exit the psp went off and when it starts now it freezes for a few seconds and then turns off
the psp at that time had the 2 lines of battery so the flashing did ok, I think...
i would apreciate Anybody's help..![]()

secret message!
I used to have a signature here.
update to 2.00 and then downgrade again.
hpe this works for you
he cant upgrade because he cannot enter the XMB unless u can upgrade while ur umd is running

thats right, I cannot upgrade...if I could update in the game that would be the solution but it can't...
maybe the aonly solution is the modchip(but I can't get it on..) or a new motherboard...![]()
oh crap. then yeah
modchip
try buying a new game for it with new software on (not safe, but new Dead To Rights has 2.5 on it..) then use the downgrader??
but i cannot enter the XMB and when I insert an 2.0 or 2.6 UMD it freezes too...and closes...![]()
im no expert by a long shot.. in fact im pretty much a n00b, but.... i cant think of anything that will work..
Big shot but try to look for a first release game for the psp normally you can find this at block busters or game stop and upgrade that way . If not is the modchip. But the game should only cost like 15 usd.
