Error I get is unable to read: sd:/snes9xgx/roms
even though the folder exists....
Hi Guys,
Trying to get Snes9x to work.
Homebrew channel was a doddle works fine.
Loading apps works fine.
Loading roms, nil poi!
Everytime I load an emu it shows as "unable to load X/ROMS" (fce and snes9x have the same issue).
I've tried root:/apps/snes9x/roms & root:/roms & root:/snes9x/roms
still cant open. When it does get to a folder just by trying it comes up with gibberish!
So I've tried putting a .smc on the root:/ and loaded and it crashes....
Any ideas? (trying to run roms from front sd as latest version says thats possible)
Error I get is unable to read: sd:/snes9xgx/roms
even though the folder exists....
same with fceugx and if I manage to get it past that it shows an empty folder o_O;;
.nes should be fine rite?

same issue I have but his solution hasn't fixed it on mine :|
FOR EVERYONE WITH THIS ISSUE THERE IS A STUPIDLY EASY SOLUTION!
1 - make sure your sd card is fat16 (or FAT) not fat 32
2 - make sure you make a folder called {name of emulator}/roms (and /saves) on the root of the sd card
3 - load the emulator
4 - when you get the error "cannot read folder" Click the sd card out and PUT IT BACK IN
5 - Profit
Seriously weirdest solution ever!
also the saving error is likely your SD card having a read/write switch on the side (akin to floppy disks).
Yeah ok so I didn't notice the 3mm switch on it! lol
Also raised this issue with the fce team and they think its likely a knackered SD card issue.
Going to get a new SD card soon to see...
