you can use PSAR dumper and devhook to dump the files from an eboot. why didn't xflash work? it should dump stuff to a folder within the xflash folder.
I need to dump my psp firmware i have tried it with x flash but it doesnt seem to dump it can anyone recomend any programs

did you go to psp/game/xflash and then there should be a folder named dump. look in there.

well. that's weird. i used xflash v.10 and it worked. oh well. DL the eboot and just extract stuff from it.
you need a DATA.PSAR file or the update EBOOT of the firmware you want to dump, you cant dump firmware files from your PSP's flash...
Curse you jman beat me again your to fast today. Go take a break. LOL again i agree you are right it doesnt dump from the original flash of the psp.
you can take the original files from the flash. and use pbp unpacker to get data.psar out of eboots.
EDIT: I just saw xflash v12 and the changes include creating dump foder and stuff like that. So that version should work great for you. Here's a link :
