just a question about devhook .44 - - i installed fw 2.5 w/ devhook .44 and now when i look at the system settings it says its a 2.71...is that normal or what?? and nickname says psp GREG....i peviously tried installing the 2.71 with no luck because i didnt find the dump files....anyways just wondering if its normal

It sounds like you downloaded a full version with everything already in it. Yes when you load it up to play your umds it will show the 2.71 firmware. Thats from your flash with the files you used. To change the nick name just do the same thing you did with your psp the first time. When you want to go back to 1.50 mode to keep playing emulators or roms go to home menu and then press up plus L & R trigger at the same time then press X.
