Vanquish is the upcoming title from Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series.
As revealed in the new issue of game mag Famitsu, the title is a third person action shooter and has elements of cover. It is not a Gears of War-style cover shooter, however.
Gameplay is fast and quick with the player wearing a high tech battle suit outfitted with a variety of weapons. The enemies are robots and the game is set against a background of Russian and U.S. confrontations.
Vanquish is headed towards to the PS3 and the Xbox 360 this winter. Currently, development is 80 percent finished. Have a look at the game's launch trailer.
