    Default Buying a new psp

Hey, I'm looking into buying a new psp for my gf's birthday. I am thinking of buying it threw dell or some place simular. I'm not sure how to check the version of the system before I buy it, is there any way or are all new systems the latest firmware?

dell? why dell? if you are gonna buy it through some company, you can buy it cheaper than dell. you can buy whichever firmware you like of off ebay.

well I would find it quite strange for a girl to be interested in hacking the psp and would recommend unless she is into that stuff to go for the latest firmware as it has alot more features and are likely to be the only ones officially on sale at the moment, but if she is into hacks and mods then I suggest trying to find a psp 1.5 as this is the best possible firmware for that stuff which can be found at ebay, or a mod store site.
