psp downgrade help

wow EVERY home brew and application! so i will be able 2 use my current home brew! thats superb! when dwn grading shud i remove all save data (exept eloader of coarse) and all homebrew? i have a 1 gig mem and currently have bout 700mb free space. is the new tekken game out 4 psp? if it is is it any gud and is there a newer fw update on the umd?

You can run every homebrew, but you might have to use something like psp brew to convert 1.00 to 1.50.

The new tekken plays thru devhook with 2.71 emulation, so you have no worries there. And yes, it is awesome...I'd have to say the graphics are better than tekken4 on the ps2 (newest tekken I have apart from psp version)

ive seen sumwhere bout a devhook 0.46 and that its illegal. i have dwn loaded devhook 0.45 but couldnt find 0.46. y is the 0.46 version illegal anyway? the 0.45 version i have says it emulates fw 2.71 but it also says sumfing bout having fw 2.6. wots that suposed 2 mean?

basically, you need alot more than just the devhook files to emulate any firmware. You need some copyrighted files (this is probably the illegal part), which you can extract from a 2.71 update eboot, or find some dodgy site or torrent to download the required files from.

There are some decent guides around that tell you all you need to know about devhook, just use your google kung-fu

thats gud im glad tekken only has fw 2.7 cuz i read theres a new fw 2.8 and thought it might have bin 4 tekken cuz its new. is there actually a fw 2.8? and if so what new features does it have? must c pretty crappy

It adds the ability to save rss video to the memory stick, uh plays video from /psp/video instead of that strange directory. I think that is about it...not really worth it. It was just released today I think

so if i have devhook 0.45 which emulates fw 2.71 cud i use 1 of my current games which only have fw 2.6 to get the fw update for devhook up to 2.6?

I don't really understand your question, but, here goes

If you can download the files needed to run fw 2.71 in devhook, you don't need to worry about getting the files for fw 2.60.

But, yes you could extract the files needed to run 2.60 from a game which has the 2.60 update on it. It's a real nightmare though, so just go with downloading the stuff for fw 2.71, it's alot easier

how do u check wat model thingy u hav (ex.like TA-082(idk wat that even is lol)) i looked were the picture shows but i dont see anything. and wat is the difference between psp models like (PSP-1001,PSP-1002, etc.) i hav PSP-1001
