It such a shame though, So many good commercial games are going to be coming out in the fall and I don't wanna miss out. But I haven't upgraded my 1.5 and I don't plan to anytime soon...

Anyways, I heard that this update allows the PSP to watch videos from sites like youtube.com. Is this true?

I just noticed that they removed the Digital Camera Photo folder at the top of the memory stick pictures.

Dark_AleX bricked his psp so unless he got a UP chip or a new psp we won't be seein anything from him, i hope he gets it fixed soon though, when i first heard i was like "noooooo man down, man downnn!!!" lmao

I tried to decrypt 2.80 with the 2.7 prx decrypter to get the reboot.bin, but it just made files with zero byte size

ah well...would have been sweet if it just 'worked'

ya, that really sux. he'll probably have his fixed shortly.

as for the new firmware, i'm waiting for booster to pown sony once again...

The real reason that Sony keeps upgrading the firmware is so they can keep getting money from EVERYONE that owns a psp, because there will be no free way to play games on a great portable system!

he didn't check the files after it decrypted because all you get all 0kb or files filled with 0's. they have changed
