    Select the rom twice.
    Hi crookedmouth,

yes, I used the DLDI patcher, otherwise it wouldn't find the roms.

How do I select it twice? Once when I start Frodo and then again with the left button?

    Thanks for your help

Awesome work you did with this incredible emu.

Got it working finally on my little R4. My girlfriend just shook her head when she saw that little blue cursor blinking.

    Women - dont need em.

A little noob question from me: in some games e.g. Last Ninja (my fave) music is really good but its playing much too slow. Kind of emulating issue ? Any workaround here?

Thanx in advance & just keep up the great work!

    Regards from western germany.

For some reason you need to choose the rom twice at first. I'm guessing you've tried it by now , by pressing left trigger.
    Did you get it working?
You do have Frodo.fpr in your rd folder right?

You could try opening Frodo.fpr with notepad and changing SkipFrames = 2 to SkipFrames = 3.5

    Unhappy

    Hello, Friends!

What are the optimal perform settings with 1541 Emulation and 100% C64 Speed?

It's very strange that the DS obviously having problems with playing at full speed with the CPU Emulation of the 1541. My 486DX 80 few years ago played almost every game in full speed with C64S (an old C64 PC Emulator). Most games run with full Floppy Emulation perfectly with every 1st oder 2nd frame. The Nintendo DS has a CPU with 67Mhz., almost the same. Maybe there's a bit more possible with optimation in future.

And maybe an quickview option for D64 files in the browser would be very nice.

I'm not trying to be mean, but if you think you can port C64S or some other c64 emu that would be great. In the meantime GPF has made some great progress with this Emulator.
I don't pretend to understand DS coding but quite frankly your comments are a little offensive even to my limited intelligence. We all know the DS specs, and that FrodoDS isn't perfect, but it's damn fine work IMO.You imply that the games run slow test it some more, many games run at full speed or faster.
Me, I'm just praying GPF won't get bored with FrodoDS before Saving is implemented.

    Hi there,

new to this forum and everything - hello all!

I've just got myself a M3 DS Simply with a view to downloading emulators...I've followed the DDLI link from the Wiki,scorpei.com for the Frodo emulator and downloaded it...

Now I'm not too sure what to do next - I've dragged it the contents on to my card, but when I start it up I get a Coders Competition screen up, but it doesn't go forwards to the emulator.

Really don't know much about this stuff (I'm using a Mac) so any help much appreciated.

Also can I add any .dsk files I have for the Mac C64 emulator to this, or do I need to look for specific files for Frodo?

    Look forward to your replies!

I don't use MacOS but there is a DLDI drop patcher here, drag and drop the .nds file on it.
    http://www.blogadresse.de/wp-content.../dldi_drop.zip

    read about it here
    http://www.blogadresse.de/2007/01/29...r-the-mac-way/

    grab the R4/M3 Simply patch
    http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI...oads/r4tf.dldi

I'm guessing you put the dldi patch in the same folder as the Drop program.

On the root of your card, there must be a folder named rd. This is where all your roms go.

Make sure you use the newest FrodoDS
    http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/att...3&d=1173082251

.DSK files are not supported, So look for .d64 roms. There are converters out there to convert .dsk to .d64 btw. Furthermore you can save snapshot images in frodo for the pc and place only one in the rd folder on your card. the snapshot must be renamed to jjr.fss and it loads by pressing X I believe or Y button.

    goodluck

    HELLO GUYS!!!!

I am new in this forum and just today I discovered FrodoDS: it's FANTASTIC!!!!
I have just some basic questions:

    1) is there a step-by-step guide or faq somewhere about frodoDS on this forum?

2)I have a ds (not lite) and I am a PC user. If I buy a M3 simply, should I be able to use frodoDS on my DS?

3)I have found this online shop:
    http://www.echostore.com/game.html?g...FQHolAodqmVGDg

Which of this adapters is the right one to play C64 games on the DS?
Thanks in advance for the time guys..
    Have a nice week!
    Alf

Found this on The Hives' spectrum site.

Hopefully these people aren't cashing in on other peoples' emulators.
