    taken by the frenzy, I already bought the R4DS with a 1gb microSD. Did I do the right choice? Please tell me so!
    I just want to play the c64 (and scummVM) on the DS...

    It appears you did the right thing. R4 is very cool, and frodods has been reported to work on m3 simply(same thing). DLDI patch newest frodods.

    RD folder must be in root of card.
    frodods.nds can be anywhere.

    btw,
    what are all those patches for? Wasnt it "plug and play" with cards like the r4ds??

    the patches are for filesystem access for homebrew, its supposed to allow for new hardware that comes out someone can write a dldi patcher so it will work with new hardware.

    Some cards have a plug and play feature but haven't seen many that work that well yet.

    Thanks for answering GPF!
    Just please tell me if I can find a step by step guide on how to apply this patches. I wouldn't want to mess up doing things in the wrong order...

    grazie!

    Smile Device Not Present?

    Hi all,
    Stoked on getting this thing going. I've got a DS Lite, and an M3 DS Simply with a 2 gig sd.
    I've had the most luck with CrookedMouth's June 12th post and links, but I can't actually get a game running with it. I get the "?Device Not Present" error. I've tried selecting the included ROMs multiple times, with and without 'Start' button resets. I successfully DLDI patched ScummVM, and I can see the ROMs in Frodo, so I'm not sure that DLDI is the problem. Anyone else still having this problem? I look forward to hearing back. Thanks!

    Smile

    Hi CrookedMouth, thanks for your reply . I have successfully DLDI patched FrodoDS with the links you provided. Earlier attempts with older versions without DLDI only got me as far as the Spring Coding splash page, with an error. Since I went with your 3 links, it will boot up to blue.:thumbup: I can view and select ROMs since the DLDI patch, but still get the "?device not present" errors. I seem to be in the same boat as Captains27. In my case, I'm wondering if perhaps it could have something to do with the frodo.fpr file in \rd. Specifically, these lines:
    DriveType8 = D64
    DrivePath8 = maniacmansion_2.d64

    Maybe the Maniac Mansion reference is a leftover from someone else's edits. It shows up this way when extracted, but I'm not sure if and how I should edit it.

    thanks!
