Default Sweet I just bought a Dreamcast!

I just bought a Sega Dreamcast for $30 used like new, from Amazon.com. It comes with all the cords and one controller.

That's all you need, though you will need a VMU for all your gamesaves, a single VMU can hold saves for upto 10 games depending on the size of the data. An original VMU with an unofficial 4-8MB VMU is always the best setup if you buy lots of games, or download loads of emulators which also save to the device.

Some of the early emulators had problems (the December 2000 build of DreamSNES was one for me), or just wouldn't copy over to the SEGA unit. Which really frustrated me when trying to copy from one partition (4mb card) to the official unit in hopes of moving to another, eventually I moved my saves after purchasing an ugly orange JoyTech unit which amazingly sold at the same price as they do now on eBay (though new at the time).

The unofficial cards are the best, except for when they have a format button on one side with the changer on the other and you forget which button does what and lose all that vital information on all four partitions.

I bought a dreamcast for 50 bucks from Amazon. Came with 3 games, VMU, cords, console, all perfect condition. I use it mostly for emulators. But I love playing me some Illbleed.

    What games?

I would seriously laugh if they were all sports titles, they just get given away.

I won a Dreamcast for £5 (eBay), with a VMU (way below any respectable price) when my dodgy soldering shorted my beloved 2006 unit when I attempted the battery pack hack (after spending the time making it black) with two rechargeable AAA batteries, though I think I touched something with my screwdriver.

Wow, do you live underneath a rock?

It's a Visual Memory Unit (VMU), Google it. The Dreamcast uses the VMU as a memory card, plus it has a mini screen for mini animated sequences which some games use the screen to help the user by stating which button to press (I forget which game uses it). The best thing with the VMU when there was an official SEGA server for the web browser, is that the user could download games directly to the unit such as Tetris which is played with the directional, A and B buttons.

They look better in the controller, both slots of the huge gap filled. Plus extra weight, because the controller is light (something noticed over time).

This is currently how I have mine (not my picture), although I haven't played my Dreamcast for a while.
