G6 lite: where to buy and download firmwares?

Okay, so I want to wait for the M3 lite, but the G6 lite is sounding so swell in all of the reviews that I might be tempted to buy one of those now.

A couple of questions before I do;

Where's the best place to buy?

Where can I download updated firmwares, etc. for it?

And then lastly, just to confirm, is the G6 lite faster in terms of file-transfer, etc. than most card based adapters.
