Default Gran Turismo and Soul Calibur

    Hello guys,

Sorry I've been out of the PSP custom firmware scene for about 1 yr now so I am a bit lost.

What version firmware do I need to play Gran Turismo and Soul Calibur?

Also, I cant seem to find the thread where i can download the custom firmware...Since its not sticky'd or anything...

So....can anybody point me in the right direction? Which firmware works with those games and where can i find that firmware?

Im currently running 4.01 M33-2 on my PSP Slim, thats how long I've been away!

the best firmware is 5.00 M33-6. No matter what anyone tells you, do NOT update to Gen firmware, as it has some compatibility problems with certain emulators and homebrew apps.

Soul Calibur and Gran Turismo will need to be patched before they can be run on custom firmware

you seem to be misinformed or you were just unlucky
i've been running 5.50GEN-D3 for quite a while now
and i've had no problems with any of my emulators
AND gen lets you play newer games

Agreed. Bandwagon people love to hate on the GEN firmware, yet I haven't had a single issue with it.
