Default Need Help Burning Dragons of Rage

Well I "un-rared" the game and all that was in it was a .PAK file, no 1ST_READ.BIN. So how would i go about burning it?

I tried burning it using a 1ST_READ.BIN i found in OpenBOR "NTSC" File. But when i tried to load it on my dreamcast, the dc stayed on the dreamcast logo with dreamcast written under it.

I wish I could dl the Beats of Rage Collection 2 instead, but 500+mb is a big no no on dial up

    Anyone who can help?

You need to scramble the 1st_read.bin (or use BootDreams which does that for you).

The BoR Collection Vol. II should be well worth the download, but not on dial-up. Maybe try from a friend's PC ?

Is OpenBoR using KOS? I know the original BoR didn't use any sort of OS. Reason I ask is 1st_read.bin checker (which includes BootDreams) has no way to identify whether the file is unsrambled. Though, it can be hacked in.

Yeah when I burned it it scrambled the 1st_read.bin for me, but still didnt work.

Oh yeah, can I use the 1st_read.bin that I used to burn Beats of Rage with, well it came with Beats of Rage.

Maybe. I can't remember if it used OpenBoR but I would assume it does. Try again with any version of OpenBoR, e.g. the latest:

No, it's not using KOS. It's still compiled with L@Cible's BoR DC Toolchain.

Maybe that's the problem that Samurai X reported ?

I think we found the problem with BootDreams v1.0 not scrambling OpenBoR .bins the way it should.

Try this to scramble the 1st_read.bin instead of letting BootDreams do it and it should work:

lol man my luck is bad, i just deleted openBOR along with the 1st_read it gave me I can use the 1st_read.bin from Beats of Rage right(dl'd from senile's website).

Or should I dl the new OpenBor and use teh 1st_read.bin from their, when the link is working that is

Oh one more thing, im still using the previous version of BootDreams (0.61 i think), should I go ahead and download the new one? I didnt download the new one after hearing the older one worked better since the new one was just released.

I'd say dl it and install it to C:/BootDrms/ instead of overwrite v0.61 in C:/BootDreams - That's the new default dir and also the way I got it set up too.

I guess you cannot use the 1st_read.bin from the original BoR since Dragons of Rage is OpenBoR IIRC.

    Anyway, this should do:
