it is quite easy but you must be carefull at a couple of points in the disassembly. also someone released a video a while back detailing every single thing needed to remove the psp motherboard - i think the undiluted platinum guys also did something like that.
if i may ask - how did you come across a spare working 1.5 mobo O.o?

bought it off ebay...then once the 2.6 downgrader came out, i took the 1.5 motherbpard out and downgraded my 2.5 motherboard
