Exclamation very important DC-Neo•Geo tech & emu question

i need to know the parts that are used on the end of the neo•geo pocket color and the parts that hook into the DC. I need to know the name of the female in the DC, the males of the NGPC link cable.

A FAQ is available for this purpose, actually: It can be found here. I'm not sure how to create the cable, since I can't find any hardware schematics. My suggestion is to buy it if you can find one.

On every single HTML page of GameFAQs is the following request:
Feel free to link to this page, but not directly to the FAQs..

You're seeing this error message because it appears that you're linking from an external site directly to one of the text files stored at GameFAQs. GameFAQs is not a free public file server. Bandwidth costs money, and when sites link directly to files stored on the site, it becomes both a financial and resource drain. We've tried asking, but some sites simply don't care, so now we've implemented a technical solution.

Your browser is reporting that you linked to a GameFAQs-hosted FAQ from http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30863.

There are four possible reasons you are seeing this message:

    1. You came from a direct link to a FAQ on GameFAQs from another site, and your link was properly blocked. See the paragraph above for why.
    2. Your web browser is passing improper URL data in the Referrer header. Your web browser may be over-compensating for a mistake you made in the address bar, and passing this information unintentionally. To fix this, just click the "Home" link on the left and surf normally.
    3. Your web browser is passing forged URL data in the Referrer header. Some browsers can be configured to hide referrer information, but instead of passing a blank header, it passes a forged one. To fix this, change your browser's security settings. If you are using Opera and having problems, try viewing this page for some pointers.
    4. You are behind a firewall or proxy server, and it is passing forged URL data in the Referrer header. If you are using one of these services, you or your network administrator may need to change the configuration.

As far as I know, they are proprietary, period (at least the Dreamcast port is. I haven't seen an NGPC myself). There are no standardized names for the connectors; If you're replacing the heads on an existing cable, you'll probably have to buy a new one.

im not sure which you mean by that.

I REmember when I had two pokemon versions, a GBC and an olde GB and wondered how I Could trade between them. I noticed the printer cable fit into the GB's usb socket and wah lah. I think the NGPC link cable might have a CPU counterpart.

ditto for the atari controler in genesis. I know my homeade BBA was too complex to work bit i dont think the same here.

Ok thats all i could get. If any one recognizes the tips on those things give me their names.

Unlike the BBA thingy i tried to make this should simply work if i get the pieces just like the USB cable and the gbc.

In a forum, your message can sometimes go days, even weeks, without being addressed. Be patient. This isn't like an IM program.

Anyway, like I said before, I'm pretty sure that those heads are only used by the companies that made the consoles. Therefore, I'd say they're nameless to the outside world, and you probably can't get them.

Dear lord you're lazy. GameFAQs just doesn't allow direct linking, so all you have to do is GO to the site and search for it. Here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/neo...me/916527.html

I hope you can figure out how to click on the link there that says Dreamcast.

Below are some other links about the cable.

Also, a gameboy link cable is quite different from a usb connector. If anything it's more like a firewire cable, but that's neither here nor there since neither is the same as it.

There is basically no way to make a homebrew ngpc->DC cable that would be cheaper than buying one. It would require buying a ngpc link cable, then either a DC serial cable (dcserial<->pcserial) or a DC link cable, then finding schematics from somewhere (i've never seen any online) and so on.
If anyone is looking to buy, sell, trade games and support a developer directly at the same time, consider joining Goozex. Enjoy!
