Open the UMD slot and take a look in the top-right corner for the digits "IC1003"

Aww hell, i have one. So this means that i can't downgrade the firmware, or just that there will be risks. And are the risks high like can permanantly damage my firmware/ psp?

Nope sorry, any PSP with those digits can not currently be downgraded. Attempting to downgrade it will result in a bricked PSP.

Dang. Sorry to keep on asking questions that are probably obvious to you but is there any way i can play homebrews, or do i have to do the whole gta process?
