Firstly, thanks guys for your help. Appreciate it.

I have downloaded the Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader full version

I have just check my PSP, and can safely say i do not have any writing on the red/right area of the motherboard. All i have is IC6001 in the left side.

So would it be safe to say that the downgrade will work successfully with my PSP, even though its a 2.60 factory version?

Yes. My friend had a IC6001 2.60 factory psp and I personaly downgraded it for him and it worked 100%.

go for it! it's fine if you leave the charger and battery in the whole time and wait for the memory stick light to stop flashing.
