Smile PSP:Locoroco falls out of the top 10 ranking

Locoroco has fallen out of the top 10 ranking in japan according to Famitsu.

The ranking can be accessed here

Well, with the summer holiday season here and Locoroco dropping out it is fair enough to conclude that Japan does not favour it much.

With most PSP owners here mostly in the > 25 years of age bracket, it is quie understandable why they would not buy a game which from its commercials is widely popularized as "kids stuff".
And since kids in japan own DS more than PSP there is no reason why they would buy the same either.

Personally I love the game and just yesterday finished the 40th (World 5, Level 8) stage and tossed out the UMD for next.

That's too bad. I really want Loco Roco to do well. I think it's an amazing game, and that near everyone will like it, if they give it a chance.

Katamari has sort of a childish theme too, and look how well that series has done.

Default yeah, but they could have as well....

true, its a fine game and I thoroughly enjoyed playing the same

My four year old daughter too was all excited and
a bit afraid of the Moja character in the last stage. The moja character comes in a disguise and gobbles up LocoRoco and this is quite entertaining.

Frankly after 2 weeks of play, I think its cute but repetitive. You can make easy guesses where you can pick up the tomatoes or meet those mui-mui friends. Sony should have made the game "slightly" difficult to stretch the experience I guess.

Also in all stages one can pick up objects which can be used to make up a LocoRoco house, but come on its kinda odd concept. try it and you would know.

LocoRoco sux! I completed it within a week (4days), theres no real replay value to the game... it gets overly repetative just going thru the 5 different worlds!

I really enjoyed it, even the audio a lot of people seem to dislike quite strongly.
Its really good as a pick up and play for 5 mins type of game.
