PSPVBA Cant save in game

I am playing shaman king master of spirits...
Can we save normally like any ameboy advance or must we use the save state?
I saved in game but when I exit the emu and go back in to play the savegame was lost

if its a homebrew game u press l+r and it goes to a menu then u go to save game thing and then u save and vwallau have saved data the reason why if u save in game it doesnt save is because normaly it stays on disck or game cartredge but u dont have the disk or game cardrige so the save goes nowhere oops i ment u dot have game disck or catrideg in homebrew because u dowloaded the game i posted to many times in a row so now im adding on to this post it sucks i have to edit
