OK I just downloaded MagicISO and I haven't used it yet but it's free and so far it doesn't look like there is any spyware attached to it. Hopefully it gets the job done.

I guess it would be required as how else would it possible to play the games, *if* this emulator would be true. To do it, use a copy of Alcohol 120% to copy the disk to a disk image format. I believe Alcohol 120 is free to try for 15 days

Well, well. This thing might actually be real. I'm still not gonna get too excited, but this definently has my attention now.

Yes, i've used Alcohol for quite some time. Have ripped many cds with it.

They do need to be scratch free or it will fail

What i'd like to know is, how do you rip bits out to make the file smaller? There images are fairly big, the PSX used most of the space avaliable in alot of games.

seems possible with enough talented coders on the project, but also unlikely to pull off by the end of the summer, it just needs more time, 50 fps? yea right. maybe the french are up to something and maybe they might release something good. but until it gets released, i dont think this is true

if this is based on the work by pacmanfan, then it would seem alot of the work is done, pacmanfan's alpha releases had all the graphics sorted, it just needed loads of speed optimisations.

This guide is the one that I used to back up my PSX games:

Alcohol 120% may work but its not freeware, Isoproducer is.

    a) It is possible.
    b) They said "it will have that in the end of the summer", not "we have it now".
    c) "it will have that in the end of the summer" means "we want it to have that in the end of the summer".
    d) ......

edit: 5) 50FPS means the VSync will happen at 50Hz (fullspeed would be 60Hz). No PS1 games ran (render) at 60FPS, although the image was refreshed at 60Hz. They would run at 30, 20, 15, 12 or 10. So 10 (game) FPS would mean fullspeed for a game that runs at 10FPS.

Most games ran at 15 or 20, BTW.
