I'd say to tear it out by the roots. Look in folders like Program Files, Windows, and System32 for suspicious looking files (stuff like ~!!ghdk.dll).
Antiviruses can be very unreliable once a bad virus invades your operating system.
Ok so i've been getting this virus message for a while every time i login to my laptop.
Then avast gives me options like, delete, move to chest etc, none of them work, but when i click delete the warning goes away and i can use my laptop but every time i turn it on the message comes up, the strange part is its a different file name each time, same location but the file never exists when i go to find it. So i run a scan with malware bytes and it doesnt detect anything. what the hell should i do? lol
I've already tried running a scan before startup, twice it says it cannot delete the file, tried running scans in safe mode etc, I'm out of ideas people.

oh and it says if you click no action "the malware will not be activated" what does that mean exactly? and i havent noticed the virus affecting anything at all so I dunno what its doing?
I usually Google my warnings, to seek the very way of removal.
'PRTPROCS' seems to be the source of your problem, which this link may prove helpful?
