Default PSP shuts off despite full battery!

    Here's the rundown:

While plugged in to the charger, it will shut off after about 5 minutes.

The bars say the battery is full, but it will only last less than a minute when not plugged into the charger.

Once it goes out, I either have to take the charger out and plug it back in OR take the battery out and put it back for it to work again.

I am running homebrew, but I don't remember which one, I can check.

Odd tidbit: When running the SNES emulator, it says the battery charge is -216.(bunch of decimals)% charged, and that bar of info flickers.

    What's going on???

it's possible that your battery is shot, what psp do you have and have you tried using a different battery?

It's a 2000 series, and I have tried this with three batteries, and the condition is the same.
