SNAIL GAMES USA today announced a partnership with premier gaming portal Kongregate to distribute Snail’s upcoming MMO title Ministry of War (MoW) to Kongregate’s world-class community of 10 million gamers. Kongregate was recently acquired by retail gaming giant GameStop to advance the company’s digital strategy.

MoW is set to launch as an historical real-time strategy (RTS) browser-based MMO, and represents a quantum leap forward in Flash game design. In MoW, players battle for conquest and territory as one of four ancient civilizations (Imperial Rome, China, Egypt, or Persia) using the game’s revolutionary combat and land-control systems. The game also boasts robust Quest, Resource, Trade, and Leveling, and Guild Systems, making MoW the first of its kind among browser games. The game is free to play and requires no download, so MoW can be played instantly.

Kongregate CEO Jim Greer said, "Snail has a great track record with us and we're looking forward to bringing Ministry of War to our community when the Open Beta version becomes available. I’m hopeful that MoW will be a great performer.”

The Closed Beta period for MoW began July 17 and Snail will soon announce an Open Beta commencement date. Requests for beta key access can be made at www.ministryofwar.com.
