Default Comeback of the AMIGA - sort of

    Hello,
i would like to show you a "homebrew" OS called AROS (former Amiga Research Operating system).
Well you may ask: "what has it to with our network?" well it is the base os of my systems. One system to come is a MediaCenter system and it can act as a gaming system too.

AROS is a is a free and open source implementation of the AmigaOS 3.1 APIs which runs on PPC and x86. Native or hosted on Linux/Windows.

We are also working on an App store for the 3 amiganoid os like AROS/AmigaOS 4.x and MorphOS. This app-browser will be integrated also in AMC.

AROS and AMC can boot (depending on the HW used in 3Seconds. 7 until AMC is booted up.

I hope to attcract some creative people from the homebrew scene too. And with AMC equiped systems we can offer another "open" gaming/multimedia system.

If you are interested you can visit www.aros-exec.org (aros community)
    www.aros.org (official AROS website)

To have a look at AMC you can visit my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/AresComputer1#p/a

    Some bits about my person:

Ohhh i fogot to say that you can try AROS in Virtualbox.
It exists two free liveCD/DVD distributions.

    Best Regards,

One thing left: I startet two contests:

    and a name search contest:

The price for the MediaCenter system will be below 250€ maybe 199. A multiboot like AROS/Ubuntu/Windows is no problem.

As i told i see it as possible homebrew gaming platform like pandora (hardware is open, because it is based on normal PC-hardware) only AMC will cost a bit (around 20€).

    ONE LAST THING : )
There is not only my AresOne but also the iMica available including a how to "build your own iMica"
