newb needs help please 8002001 error

i'm new to the world of homebrew infact just staryed doing some today. The problem is i have downloaded quite a few different apps and put them in the psp/game directory but keep getting a "the game could not be started (8002001)" error all i want to do is run a nes or snes emulator on the psp any ideas.

your using 1.5 right? if you are, you should get two folders with the same name, and the second one with a % at the end. if you put those in GAME, it should work...

Actually, you should make two folders like this (I'll be using snes9xTYL as the example):

One folder called

__SCE__snes9xTYL

and the other one (the one that has a % at the end) called

%__SCE__snes9xTYL

This will get rid of the annoying corrupted data icon on your memstick.

that's right Criticalmass. i just forgot about that because i always use IR Shell
