actually i did get the latest devhook to work with a 1.5 dump.
The most current version of devhook doesn't emulate 1.5.I outlined several of these ideas in the oh crap thread. Also mr shizzy why no respond to my pm?How do you guys plan on running the update from game folder if you can't load the xmb?Devhook emulated firmware may not be capable of updating at all.If you wish to emulate 1.5 I suggest you go back to an earlier ver.
The version spoofed state of you friends psp would also be pertinent info to share.
Simply put, learn to dump and use 1.5 on an earlier version of devhook, then try to use this to modify and or restore the firmware using xflash.I believe you can restore firmware to defaults using xflash and xflash will allow you to dump the firmware. You just cant run it on the most current devhook.
Please go read my post's in the oh crap thread.

Cool I appreciate it,sorry for putting you through the trouble, but it might really help out.
I tried eraseing the text files,no go.
Guess I'll try another dump method xflash may not decrypt.
lol actually its got nothing to do with them folders its because when you use the dh fw installer for 1.5 it doesnt dump the flash1 folder into E: \dh\150
So you have to dump your own firmware using x-flash. When its finished dumping exit xflash go into usb mode and retrieve your dump from the x-flash folder it will be inside a folder called dumps. There will be two folders flash0 n flash1 just take the flash1 folder and put it in E: \dh\150 and that should do it. Run devhook and choose 1.5 not 1.5 flash.

nevermind I tried to put both folders in there, guess that's what I did wrong.
I got the answer! If someone could recompile Devhook .45 to run off a folder called "dh2" on the root of the memory stick instead of "dh"; I could run 2 versions of devhook @ a time and the problem would be effectively solved!!!! I have to step out for a while. Ill check back this afternoon. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP & SUPPORT!!!!
