I rly dont have time to read through the whole thread, but it should be possible to change autoload to an emulated 1.5 thru devhook....I recommend that u talk to jas0nuk, he'd know what to doOriginally Posted by Mr. Shizzy
rather than having the wlan run the devhook.pbp that came with the custom firmware, why not make it run the proper eboot (psp/game/devhook/eboot.pbp) that way your friend could choose what firmware to boot into
also, either i was lucky or your friend unlucky cause i downdated my 2.6 then used the same custom firmware as your friend and mine works fully, recovery mode, 1.5 (skip sce, hide corupts), wlan down into devhook 2.71 and autoload irshell...even with the skip sce and hide corupts off mine still works

another thing that might work (as a final last resort)
you say you cant remover the custom firmware, but what if you tried installing dark axels over the top either with xflash or the original eboot, wouldnt this replace the custom firmware files with ones that (should) work?
could be too much for the flash to hold and you could be seriously screwd!
nope, they don't copy well over one anotherOriginally Posted by jak66
I got my PSP now, so I can run tests.![]()
Thats not the entire reason it was bricked. If you read the oh crap thread i explained what really was the main factor. I too have downgraded a 2.6 psp and then put custom firmware on (BTW-It was succesful too), and it was harleygs custom firmware .2 . The reason this happened is because he performed the custom fimware on a very low battery. Which i believe is why were having all this trouble now. We have been working on this for a while now so any help is appriciated. I do think we are coming close to a solution.Originally Posted by jak66
