The one you linked to is a slot-2 device. If you do not care about GBA support at all, a slot-1 device would be much cheaper. You wouldn't need to buy a passcard then, as the slot-1 device will have one built-in. The card called "M3 Simply" is one such device.

I personally prefer RealHotStuff since their customer support is outstanding, prices are comparable to other shops, and shipping is usually very fast and cheap.

I would also suggest checking out the "Retailer Feedback" section of http://forum.gbadev.org
Keep in mind that some of these stores are for GBA equipment only, but many sell DS supplies as well.
